They vary quite a bit, even if you only count chickens, which I assume is what you meant. Different breeds are different sizes. I was at the County Fair today and saw some that looked like about a pound, and others that looked at least ten pounds. If you include pigeons, hummingbirds, turkeys, and ostriches, you get a lot more variation.
