The screen coating is durable but you should never use abrasives or heavy chemicals. A damp soft cloth should be enough in most cases. If you DO use alcohol then you should test it in a corner first. Best thing to do is not allow children to access monitor. Good luck!

Yep. Whatever you do, don't use Windex. It will basically destroy your monitor. Diluted rubbing alcohol should work, but if you're worried about liquids on your monitor, you should be able to use lens paper, which you can get at most electronics stores. If you can't find that, the next best thing is (believe it or not) Scott's brand toilet paper.

Try cleaning it with a solution of 50% water and 50% rubbing alcohol using a soft cotton cloth. Do not use window cleaners such as Windex.

To clean it properly look in your manual. Some types of alcohol will melt or discolor the screen film. If you dont have the manual, download it from the manufacturers website.

get a mr clean magic eraser and put water on it, squeeze most out, and clean the monitor with that. i swear those things remove everything off everything. a register receipt got wet on my counter and left the marks on it, nothing got it off but that. my son colored with crayons on my boyfriend's cabinets and it got that off. couldn't hurt to try right?

You can also use glass cleaner for car tinted windows like ArmorAll.
It has no AMMONIA in it, so it's safe to use on not only monitors, but you can also use it on TV screens, and of course, your cars tinted windows.....
