i have heard you need a plant for gold fish wen they mate but i dnt know if a plastic plant is ok... plz help!!!!!

no they r not, goldfish need real plants, soft music, good wine
take em out dancing or to a movie

plastic plants will be just fine, real plants will get torn up during breeding
one of the easiest things to make for the fish to spawn on is a mop or pom-pom
get a non colored cotton yarn, cut a whole handful of strings about 12 in long, straighten them out and gaither them together
at the middle, tie with another piece of yarn, then clip a fishing cork or something that floats to the middle you just tied, then put that in your tank for the female to rub against

Yes Plastic plants are fine, but you would probably have more luck with real ones. Because they provide more oxygen to the tank and the fish also feed from them.
