I'm not an American but I've been on this site long enough to see that Republicans, by and large, seem to only come in one shape -angry white men (and women)

You call Liberals "American haters" for questioning their governments actions.
You accuse them of siding with terrorists when they question deplorable actions taken by the US or countries on their 'own side'.
You accuse them of being Communists just because they believe in the needs of the many, not just the few.

I personally hate all forms of patriotism, if anything smacks of Communist ideals it's that. Blind willingness to believe everything your government tells you, and absolute blind faith in a leader is part of the very definition of Fascism.

Why can't you disagree with Israel's tactic of blanket bombing without being accused of siding with Hizbollah?
Why can't you disagree with the war in Iraq without being accused of hating America?
Isn't being able to question right and wrong the cornerstone of freedom?

Thank you Sean T for proving my point for me. Just when I'm trying to make the point that condemning one side does NOT mean supporting the other you accuse me of being a "terrorist apologist".

I suppose you just have that old Bushite mentality of "you're either with us or you're against us"

Wow. I'm Republican (for the most part) and I'm not angry. I don't hate liberals. I just hate people who don't think for themselves - on both sides of the fence. Anybody that can't give me a legitimate reason for why they hate something or like something just basically pisses me off.

As for patriotism - it's not blind willingness. Christianity is blind willingness to believe everything. Patriotism is just having pride.

You can disagree with Israel's tactics. And You can disagree with the war in Iraq. I do all of the time and have never been accused of hating America. And yes - questioning is the cornerstone of freedom.

Your question seems more than a little bit overgeneralized. Don't ***** about a certain group of people. I have never once accused anyone of siding with terrorists or of being communists. And frankly, the last person I heard accuse someone of being a communist was my grandfather - and he's 85.

So, here's a Republican that isn't angry and that doesn't label people, that looks to almost all sides of the argument, would like to see a peaceful resolve to the War in Iraq and thinks that you really need to think before you speak.

patriotism- Love of and devotion to one's country

fascism- A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

Just pointing out some facts. The definitions I just put seem to be against you, but I actually agree with you on some instances. In America you do have freedom of speech, and there are many diverse opinions. So let me point out that if you disagree with the war in Iraq or Israel's actions, not everyone is gonna say that you are a terrorist or hate america. I completely agree that many people do believe that. Believe me, I have had my share of being called communist for talking about the needs of the public and being against Bush. I have been called ''mexican fascist'' and ''American hater'' because I completely disagree with Israel's actions and many other things the government has done. I strongly believe that we should stick by the first amendment, which states the freedoms, specially of beliefs and the communications of those beliefs. Many people do not completely see this, and will attack you if you say something against their opinions, but, they are excerssing their first amendment rights as well. However, I believe that it is completely and utterly wrong to stereotype against people who have a certain opinion, and attack anyone who opposes you in some way. It is a good thing, however, that although you see so many close-minded people in America, there are also many other open-minded people, who respect other peoples' views. For instance, when I took a summer program for academically gifted alumni, I saw that many people respected my opinions, though it differed from theirs. This was a great contrast to my school, where people were usually close-minded. Sorry that I have not been able to organize my thoughts well enough, but these are my basic beliefs.

most Americans forget that "dissent is patriotism" (T. Jefferson) and the hateful people you speak of rely on unethical questions (ad-hominems or the like) to pose an offensive rather than honest debate, they say they are Christians yet they hate liberals yet Jesus was the greatest liberal of all time, we have to feel sorry for them for eventually they will come realize how the people they support in the American Government really dont care about them except for their willingness to fall in line with the propaganda

What's with all you terrorist apologists that think Islam is the victim here???

They are nothing but a bunch of terrorists who's professed goal is to kill every "infidel" on this planet, specifically Israelis and Americans. How can any rational thinking human being support this???

At least Israel has the balls to do what America seems incapable of doing, that is killing terrorists. There will be no peace in the Middle East (or the world, for that matter) until each and every terrorist is exterminated.

Stop being aggressively ignorant and stop believing that Islamic culture is a victim of OUR culture. Radical Islamism today is nothing but a new form of Nazism.

I've always believed as an American it is my duty to question the government officials when they are taking questionable acts. That is my duty as an American citizen.

Only ignorant morons follow anything blindly.

God Bless America. We have the freedom to question our goverment with out fear of retribution

It just so happens that most of our govt. is run by republicans so it actually makes sense to say liberals are anti-U.S. or whatever.

BTW, i'm pretty conservative and I feel the "American" way is to fully support the country in whatever it is doing.

It's okay to ***** and complain before we go to war, but once it happens we need full support.....after all, how do you think we won WWII.

I'm glad you're not an American. We don't need anymore liberal stupidity over here.

It looks like you need to join ranks with your terrorist friends (if you're not in it already which I wouldn't doubt)
