John Terry has been named as England's new captain, as I'm sure you have all heard. So any thoughts? I think he will do a fine job, I had my hopes set on Gerrard as captian though, but Terry is great too.

I think it's somewhat of a good change. I mean, John Terry is great and has lots of experiences, so being the fact that McClaren's squad is full of fresh faces, few old and good players keeps it balance. WHY IS ALMOST EVERYBODY COPYING GERMANY?!! Sorry, just an observation... I mean Brazil is following Germany's Klinsmann era by putting Dunga. You have England, putting together a squad that is quite frankly new, and leaving few old ones. And suprisingly Italy is not taking their WC-squad to their game, and new coach is putting a brand new team...it's like...whoa. What's up with that? Old players can't play anymore? Old players can still be great (such as Zidane and Figo), but I guess it's time. Sorry, went off topic. XP.

I think Terry's gonna make a great cap'n. Gerrard isn't bad, too... And so is Lampard, hard to choose huh?
Well, I like Terry anyway, he seems to have a lot of charisma and leadership. He's also a great defender and all... but still,
Klose is the best, right, Starlight??

john terry is a very good player... but i was a little sad that gerrard isn't the new captain.... i think gerrard is better than terry

He'd make a better job of it than Beckham. The only other worthy captains would've been Gerrard and Lampard.
