I am trying to find some kind of support group or class that helps to break habits, I don't want pills or patches. Any suggestions?

I think support is vital, and hugely helpful. Try http://www.nicotine-anonymous.org/meetings.asp
They also have online meetings if there isn't one near you.
Good luck.

The best way to quit a habit is hypnosis.

Dr. Richard Bandler, back in the 1980's, found several beneficial ways hypnosis can help stop smoking.

Since then certain "NLP Patterns" have been created allowing for successful treatment to quit smoking.

So I'm not at all surprised that most of the no smoking classes now use hypnosis.

The guy below offers free hypnosis downloads.

I am in Dallas! Anyway the only way you will quit is to seriously want to quit and not pick up the habit again. I have smoked for almost 11 years and I have tried but I am just not ready. There is a book that I have to recommend if you are serious about quitting. You can buy it online or at the bookstore. It is called "the easiest way to stop smoking" this man is a genious I am just not ready to stop.

All you need is self control only. No need for group/class. Sometimes they drag you into some other habits to stop smoking. Best way- try to control yourself. Whenever you feel like smoking, keep the cigarette in the fingers but don't light. find some reason and postpone the scratching your match to light it. If you are determined to postpone by minutes/hours, it is not that much difficult to postpone it by a day. and finally you stop for ever.

If you are serious about stopping smoking then just give up. Will power is the strogest self help there is. All these support groups and stuff don't work unless you really want to give up. So ask yourself if you are really ready to quit and if the answers yes, flush the rest of your cigs down the toilet and begin your life as a free man!
