What ever you dicide to use DO NOT spray it on your monitor. Windex and all of those work good, but I like the little squares mades to clean glasses. It really cleans well and you don't have to worry about it drying streaked.

Wow, Do NOT listen to these people. If you own an LCD do NOT use Windex or spray any chemical or water onto the screen. First off, go to best buy, and buy the Monster Cleaning Kit, found in the home theater department. It will use a PH neutral LCD cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. If you use an alcohol or ammonia based cleaner or a harsh base like Windex, you will do damage to your LCD. If you don't own a flat panel monitor, then find an a clean towel, use water with no soap, gently spray the towel, and wipe down the area for cleaning. Then you can used compressed air to clean the vent holes as necessary.

If you have any intelligence, you will disregard all of these answers and find out what you have for a monitor first! If you have ANYTHING except a glass tube crt monitor you can do much damage! Provide details and try your question again!

If you want to clean the outside, then use windex and a paper towel.

If you want to clean the inside, I suggest rubber gloves, 3 layers, then work gloves on top of that (leather). You will want to have it unplugged as well.

Carefully.
Don't spritz on it - it could run.
Use a soft paper towel, spray window cleaner on it. Gently wipe the screen, then dry with a clean, dry soft paper towel.
