He is probably worried more about you, than you of him.
Time heals all wounds, so don't you go worrying about it.
Go to him, and discuss what has happened. In the long run,
it will all smooth over, and you two will have a big laugh about it
in time. I know it is tough understanding the true feelings a
being a man. However, two curious 26 year old male cousins,
who are not gay, should probably never engage in such
behavior as that again in their lifetime.

First of all, are you female?
"he has turned away from" you.
Really? If you are female, something biological happens during sex, including the release of the bonding hormone oxytocin, that creates the impression in the mind of the female that more closeness is a good thing. He may not have turned away from you, but you simply notice him more when he is not close, and read things into what he says or does that cause you to believe you are no longer as close.
Men are also affected by oxytocin, but generally not as much as women. He may be seeing you in a different light now for a number of reasons.
He may feel as though he has transgressed some societal norms, and is now uncomfortable again. He may feel you are an easy girl, not worthy of respect.
NOTICE I WROTE FEEL: Feelings are important as short paths to avoid intellectually evaluating everything. Feelings are not only mutable, they are difficult to understand.
None of the ideas I propounded above can be accepted as absolute fact, because I, and everyone else here, have so little knowledge of the intricacies of your family, culture and traditions.
Incest is generally not approved of in most cultures.
However, you cannot undo the past, and you do not wish to have the delicate balance of your familial relationships forever changed.
As much as I like truth, I suggest you have a talk with your cousin, explain your feelings and concerns, understand that it may not have been such a good idea in your case, because you were both weak in the cultural context your message implies, and then;
gosh I hate dishonesty
BOTH OF YOU FORGET IT EVER HAPPENED. NEVER SPEAK OF IT AGAIN. THE OLD EXPRESSION FOR THIS WAS "THE LOVE THAT DARE NOT SPEAK IT'S NAME".

Probably because he is grossed out and/or ashamed of the fact that he slept with his cousin whom he was raised with (which nearly makes the two of you brother and sister, even worse). So my guess is that he has turned away from you because he feels as most people do - that cousins are relatives and should not be having sex.

He probably realized what an unnatural act he has committed and is ashamed of it, rightly so.
You, unfortunately, haven't gotten to that stage yet.
