They are desirous to mask their true self and intentions. So, they play the silly and disgusting mind games. If a fellow worker says he is here for you; he is saying he will walk over you to do his bidding for the boss.

In my experience there are several reasons why people play mind games, and I used to play them myself until I matured.
Some play mind games because it gives them a rush, like adrenaline, to believe they control someone else in a way that can't be stopped.
Some play mind games because they want others to view them a certain way, allowing them to feel safer in the presence of people they might normally feel afraid of.
Some play mind games because they feel they were wronged by other people, the world, someone else (what I call someone else's fault syndrome), so they feel they have a right to hurt others any way they can, and mind games usually aren't physical so there's less chance of a physical reaction from the victim.
Some play mind games because they want to know more about what's going on inside your head, so they try to get a reaction to see what you're really thinking.
Some people play mind games because they are afraid to let you be stable enough emotionally and mentally to avoid being used by them so they provide emotional and mental turbulence to keep you from realizing what they're doing.
And there are some people who are so traumatized by people playing mind games that they look for mind games in everything other people do, even if they're not there.
In an instance where I've said what I was thinking someone ignored me and chose to believe I was saying the opposite.
People play mind games because they're raised to believe that's the way it's supposed to be, relationships start because people want something from the other person and are afraid to ask for just that, women get bored with men who aren't provocative, men who don't play games and don't push women through emotional rollercoasters are ignored until much later in women's maturity, when they realize that good guys are worth more than bad guys.

Computer dating is just what it is sometimes it is a game for some and others do seek out the person of their dreams. Me I am old fashion and prefer to meet a person face to face and get to know them in a direct way. That way you can gauge that they are genuine of not. Although there is lot of pretenders in this world who maybe leading a double life and are still married. Anyway mate keep trying you will one day catch the fish that you want. You got the right bait and burly so keep dropping the hook and line in the ocean and you might catch the big one that doesn't get away.

Mind games is just a form of manipulation that makes people feel some sort of control and power over one another. I think people who play a lot of head games are usually just really insecure. Seems like there's a lot of insecure people! And I don't know why that is...and I think people say what they think people want to hear too much instead of what they're actually thinking. But I can't say anything, cuz I do that a little too. I don't want people thinking I'm rude!

Most games are just sub sections of the "one up" game. It is designed to beat another at the game of life in some area or other. Some people are just manipulative by nature and they play the game as part of their life. So sad!

To get their own way. Human nature. The greateast mind game they do not understand is the truth. Play it with them sometime. It blows them in a different direction they don't know how to deal with that. :-)

I have game player doing that mind games to me because I won t dump my friend they don t like...they get information off people and try go through my friends to play it for them.they killed my pets,my plants.left my stuff behind..and ruin my mail.they need mind their own business.they are a burden on society..

becuase human fear that what they say might be ridiculised its our cruels culture fault. remember when u were a kid and said something and everyone laughed it kinda like that. atleats thats one of many reasons.
