A camp A CAMP PEOPLE where the US says they don't need to apply to the Geneva convention ....and they are kept in Cuba because what they are doing is (for now) ilegal in the US .....

Is America tortureing people? Yes they are and how can you tell me that command doesn't catch on unless they are part of it.

The US command has no idea? I think we heard that explaination at Nurenburg didn't we.

When you are dealing with terrorists who want to kill innocent Americans, I have no problem with using torture - they would do it to us. And other countries do it as well. These are trying times that call for necessary action.

Torture has a place only when there is a reasonably certainty that many lives will be saved by obtaining the information. Otherwise, it's a waste of time and resources. Besides, you want to make is easy for the enemy to surrender. If they know they won't be tortured, they'll be more likely to surrender.

What do you suggest? Good cop bad cop? I guess all we are supposed to ask them for is name rank and serial number. Keep in mind most of what you consider torture the rest of us call interrogation. They are being kept in Cuba to try to keep them out of the US criminal courts. This is a fundamental difference between The right and Left in this country. The Right sees the fight against against terror as a military operation. The left sees it as just a law enforcement operation, where you wait till they do something then you arrest whoever does not die in the attack. like we did in the 1993 WTC Al Qaeda attacks. The problem is Al Qaeda sees us bending over backwards to protect the "rights" of their people as a weakness on our part. Anytime they perceive us as weak they attack. Saying we are willing to torture says we are willing to do whatever it takes to win. Meaning we are not weak in their eyes.

I don't agree with torture, but let me ask this.... if you have a group who is willing to kill themselves to kill those who the disagree and they had a nuke, they are in transit to fire this WMD , mean while someone is captured with in tell on ware the nuke is, this is your only lead, and time is ruining out, would you do what ever it takes to stop the firing of the nuke???
