Under the circumstances kicking the baby was just fine. She's old; had she bent down to pick up the baby, both of them would have perished as her hips are no longer nimble-jointed. Her way ( kicking) the baby survives with merely a sore bottom, and a great story to tell in later life. Do you agree?
