How do you think Iraq would've been had the British occupation lasted 'til now?

I've heard from my late grandfather and other old people that Iraq would've been one of the greatest, most developed countries in the world had the British occupation lasted, The Brits were honest straight forward people and ruled the country MUCH BETTER than all national governments. of course they had their own interests in the country and region but they cared for the Iraqi people too unlike our selfish national corrupted regimes, I'm originally from Iraq and lived there for 23 years.

Any country that attempts to counquer the world has great intentions. Read some more about British occupation of other countries. Everyone rebelled for a reason.

India and US and elmost every other colony had thousands lined up to die for thier freedom because the British were so fair and kind!!

GIVEN THE CHANCE THE U.S. WILL LET THEM RULE THEMSELVES. I'M SURE THAT SOME U.S. INTEREST WILL BE SERVED BUT SELF RULE IS THE GOAL.
