Yes, labor will very likely be soon for you, especially since the baby drops much closer to delivery day if you've had a baby before.
I'm at 38 weeks and the pressure on my bladder has been painful for about 2 weeks now. Three days ago my baby dropped noticeably (everybody who sees me notices it) and now my BH contractions are more frequent, sometimes painful. I think I'm going into labor pretty soon now, too.

Hey there, I have not personally expereinced this but my very close girlfriend just went through this.
She had this pressure very early on in her 2nd pregnancy and it continued throughout her pregnancy. The cause...this baby was sitting lower than her 1st and was constantly pushing away down there. Did she deliver early....nope (although she was hoping to) she actually went 2 days over due.
I wish I could tell you that this is a tell tale sign of labor, but I can't after listening to my girlfriend's experience. She glad though now...she had the baby yesterday.

I'd say so considering normal gestation is about 40 weeks. Congratulations on the new baby.

with my last pregnancy i had extreme vaginal pressure for months!I felt like the baby was coming out,but apparently it was some weird vein thing.But given that you're so far along,your baby has probably dropped and is applying pressure to that area.

oh my, with my second and third, that pressure hurt soooo bad. i had c-sections. so, can't answer---but if you go to your dr soon, suggest and internal--sometimes that gets things started.
