Ok not all fish lay eggs some fish give live births like guppys and sord tails and a couple of other fish.
Goldfish lay adhesive eggs that stick to the spawning mops. Since Goldfish love to eat their eggs and baby goldfish, the mops must be removed promptly and put in another pond or large aquarium, where the eggs hatch into tiny Goldfish fry.
These Goldfish fry must feed on the microscopic life in the pond for several days, before they are large enough to start eating powdered food.

They lay eggs.
AS for those ofd you that say fish=eggs, you're WRONG! Not all fish lay eggs. Take the guppy for example. That fish dosen't lay eggs. All fish under the'livebearers' group do not lay eggs.

Goldfish, like all cyprinids, lay eggs. They produce adhesive eggs that attach to aquatic vegetation. The eggs hatch within 48 to 72 hours, releasing fry large enough to be described as appearing like "an eyelash with two eyeballs".

fish lays dozens of eggs... they are like little marbles because they are in a sack type thing. they look like little tad poles before they grow. then once they grow, the sack breaks & the fish's body starts to take form. if there is any type of defect on the egg itself, the fish could grow to have some sort of defect. usually it takes a week or two for the fish to break out of the sack!
