Chest pain shoud make you get to the doctor right away....I had this happen to me and found out that I have an abnormally shaped heart. In May I made an emergency trip to the Hospital where I stayed overnight. In the morning I was given Nitro and released. But you need to have testing done to make sure that this is not a heart attack. You do not say what gender you are. Men and woman do not always have the same signs when having a heart attack. get checked out.

Obviously, a doctor or emergency room should be your next, immediate stop, but it's also important to define what you mean by "chest pain."
Is it a sharp pain, or a dull pain/ache?
Where in the chest do you feel it? In the region of the heart, or elsewhere?
Does the pain/discomfort extend beyond the chest? If so, where? (If you feel a dull pain or ache in your arms, and/or neck, or jaw pain that feels like a toothache, it can be signs of a heart-attack. One of the problems with long-distance diagnoses like this is that heart-attacks often manifest themselves differently in men and women; men tend to feel dull pain, while women experience sharper sensations.)
In any case, it's always best to be safe, and that involves seeing a doctor who, one hopes, will subject you to an EKG to determine whether your heart is functioning properly.

I have chest pains all the time. You can try to take some vitamins and if it keeps up then ask a doctor. Don't always run up there because the tests for that are kinda expensive

You should have taken an aspirin at the first sign of pain and taken yourself to the emergency room or your doctor's office. You might be having an a heart attack (depending on your age and risk factors). But in any case, it could be something as simple as a heartburn or as complicated as an MI (miocardial infarction).

go to a doctor, explain the problem and they will likely do some tests to figure it out. Could be any number of things.. even from the simplest thing from hearburn to heart problems.
Gluck and I hope it gets better for you.
