I had my spleen removed two years ago after it ruptured in a car accident. Every few months I get pain where it used to be under my left ribs. But the most annoying pain for me, is seemingly random pain on the top left shoulder, on my back-- right where I had the stabbing pains where it ruptured.
When I asked the doctor about this, he said that the nerve connected to the spleen pain is in your shoulder (left back shoulder pain is a huge symptom of a ruptured spleen), and it sends out pain signals every few weeks still. I try hot and cold packs but usually nothing much works and I just have to wait it out.
My guess is that you probably have something similar. Perhaps they nicked your nerve when they took out the spleen- I don't know. My 'phantom pain' was triggered by eating food for the first few months after surgery. Now it just seems random and not connected to anything.
Not sure if this will help, but at least you know you're not alone! If it really does bother, you could always consult your doctor.

The indications of being pregnant are: Nausea upon awakening, and now and back all day long, generally interior the 1st trimester. Sore breasts, having to urinate greater generally, loss of urge for nutrition, (greater from nausea than something), and of direction a neglected era. you are able to experience some pains interior the decrease abdomen. It relies upon on what component of her cycle she is in, if she is approximately 2 weeks from her final era, she could be ovulating, which might clarify the left sided soreness, so she could use a condom whilst no longer on BC if she does not decide for to get pregnant. This early interior the scheme of issues, a house being pregnant attempt would be a waste of money. Even the EPT must be accomplished after a neglected era, so she would be in a position to in all probability could wait a minimum of till she misses a era to do a attempt. i'd wait a splash longer to confirm. a good number of cases you will get fake negatives on domicile exams no rely if it is incredibly early in a being pregnant. 10/26/07: To all of you available giving the unprotected intercourse speech, did you no longer study the section approximately "long term boyfriend for a 300 and sixty 5 days" sure she could have been utilising a condom at a similar time as off BCP's, to keep away from undesirable being pregnant, yet all this crap approximately STD's maximum in all probability does not prepare to this couple. So study till now you carry forth please. wish this permits

When you have an organ removed, the other organs move over to fill the space (most probably your intestines). Sure, something could be causing the pain. See a doctor.

I would get this checked.
My mother has had pains where her gall bladder used to be, however, they started within a few weeks of her surgery, and that was over 20 years ago.
My thought would be another organ...best to go get it checked...just to make sure.

Phantom pain is a real phenomenon. It's not a new organ
