I pulled myself up from the streets on the south side of Chicago but you don't see me making excuses. My brother was shot, luckily he survived, and more than one of my friends was murdered. There is no excuse for the violence and drug peddling. By the way I caught all the dudes who were involved with my brothers shooting. But the question is, why do some people excuse the horrible behavior of thugs?

i wish i could answer that homie. im from the hood too and i hate the glorification of thugs. i mean dont people know that a thug is? its not a good thing thats all i can say

for some people they have no other option, that is there only way to get a life and make some money. I know its hard to beleive but its true. No body wants to hire a thug when they can hire a middle class kid. When people turn to being thugs violence is going to come and theres no way to stop it unless the thugs have better oppurtunities.

Well don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. I don't excuse their behavior but I can understand how living without knowing there's something better can cause people to do horrible things. Have you noticed that just like the terrorists they are not afraid to die.....dying holds no fear for them....why is that?
Since I've never walked in their shoes I can't make a judgment.

People are ready to forgive and forget anything if there is a chance of profit for them.Drug dealers,pimps and thugs make large amounts of tax free cash,which they use to buy support and sympathy.
Those who defend and support rich thugs are usually getting well paid to do so.

Some people are just wierd. Or somehow identify with the thugs. Some it is that dreck post-modernist thinking at work - all views are equal and it is society that creates the law that makes criminals out those innnocent thugs.

at one point in time the psychologists told us it was the horrid things that happened to them that cause them to be the way they are, however you didnt have it a bit better and look at you, so the bad life bit just isnt valid, im really glad you had what it takes to rise above. way to go!
