Some cities do allow landowners to put up billboads in approved areas. You may rent these out to businesses and earn rent. Contact your nearest local authority office and get a licence.

You have got to call the city because land owners can not OWN billboards, the city rents them out and they do not sell them. You have to get the phone# off of the one that interests you and call it to see how much it rents for. I know this because the city owns the ones out in the pasture land I boarded my horses on.

Most commercial billboards have the name of the company that owns or leases them prominently displayed somewhere on them. Look up the name; call up their corporate office & tell them you want to buy one of their billboards.
