wow, good question. i like them both, but friends is one of my favorite tv shows of all times. don't get me wrong, i love the simpsons. homer is freakin hilarious. but friends' stars are real people. and ross geller cracks me up! the leather pants episode(season 5), the couch moving episode ("pivot") (sea.5), and the double date with joey and rachel episode(sea. 10) are 3 of my favorites.

Friends...
I think its funnier and there was finally an end to it when they ran out of ideas but the Simpson's keeps going on and on and on. I really need to be in the mood to watch the simpsons otherwise it jsut annoys me.

Both shows feature obviously fictional characters.
However, the Simpsons has the virtue of being original and funny.
Friends is pretty much like every other sitcom I've ever seen: you watch the first three minutes (or less), and you can predict the rest of the plot with no effort.
In fact, my sisters and I have actually done this many times.

Friends. The Simpsons get on my nerves. Now if it was King of the Hill or South Park, it would be a hard choice!

I would, and have, watched both. But I prefer the Simpsons.
I don't really watch either of them that much, I used to watch the Simpson, alot.They are both good shows though.

The Simpsons is consistently funny, so I vote that. I loved Friends when it was on, but I don't think it holds up as well in reruns.
