You could pull up an article online about the importance of hand washing and enthusiastically tell him about the statistics! He could read the article with you. Leave soap, hand sanitizer and paper towels out at every sink. Then make sure he sees you washing your hands frequently. Tell him you are realizing how important it is and want him to help your family stay healthy. Make a big deal about how important it is for you and he may do it just to make you happy.

My ex was like that too and nagging him didn't work because he always said that he didn't need to wash his hands because no urine or anything actually touched his hands.
When I want to talk to someone about a bad habit now, I try hinting first. For instance, I will mention an article or something I heard a doctor on the radio say about hygiene and why it is important.
The problem is that a lot of times spouses don't want to hear something from each other, but they will listen to the same thing from a friend, (this drives me crazy!) so you may have to ask one of his friends to bring it up with him. Guys have a way of jokingly getting points across to one another that without the other person taking offense.

All these answers sound good, I have tried everyone of them and my husband proclaims proudly that he used to be a Chef. I always ask well did you wash your hands then great scott. I will put the soap or a soapy paper towel in his hands after he comes out of the bathroom. His bathroom is right across from the kitchen and he will take a dump and leave the door open without the fan on. When I complain about it he laughs like it s cute. I even told him that clearly his family made him unfit for human consumption. I have even threatened divorce and he continue to be a nasty unsanitary creep, he does not even brush his teeth. Someone help, I feel so bad that my husband literally repulses me.

Be honest, I have to remind my guy all the time and when it comes to stuff like that it is common sense to wash so I don't mind being a little bit of a *****.Try a note and if that doesn't work be totally honest and rude if you have to.

My daughter brought that to my attention years ago.
I really got a bad conviction when my daughter commented on that.
Now, I wash my hands, after peeing, dookieing,
or even just taking out the trash.
Thanks, Becky.
Love,
DAd

wow, thats tough,
I think leaving an artical on the subject is a good idea like someone suggested, also IF he ever does wash his hands, in a secretive way hold his hand and smell them and comment on how wonderful his hands smell, i know that sounds silly but every now and again men are like children and just need affirmation and encouragment........giggles, good luck

Hi, I had the same problem with my husband. He is in the army. I went out and bought some soap that smelled nice and asked him to try it and see how it was. He feel in love with the way his hands smelled and felt he washes them all the time. Try buying soap that will intreage him to use it. trick him.

I would start by washing his hands for him in a playful, sexy way at home. At work , it might be better if someone (less close to him) speaks privately about hus handwashing.

Leave him articles about feces on your hands after going to the bathroom. If that doesn't work, hurt his damned feelings!
