A good book to read is 1984. George Orwell was a literary genius when it came to politics.
However, it doesn't, and would never, appeal to me, to have a government based on fear, hate, and ''meanness'' anywhere in the world. It does happen in other countries, however, like Kazachstan, North Korea, Sudan, and other countries in the world. The people in power instill fear in the public, in order to remain in power. This fear then turns to hate, and it leads to civil unrest. Therefore it is necessary to maintain these policies at bay, and prevent them from corrupting countries and governments in the USA, and the rest of the world.
PS. I am a Democrat, and I dont see as to how either side appeals to fear and hate.

It is tearing our country apart! The likes of KooKooBananas, John Skerry & Kubrickian talking about "libitards," "republiKKKans," and "democRATS" have no interest in discussing the issues, just spreading hate & presenting the most extreme of the extremist as representative the average liberal (if it is a conservative posting.)
I'm kind of a conservative, but absolutely CAN'T STAND Anne Coulter.

Seems to be a pretty popular way of governing people, so it must be working.
And we keep voting the criminals back into office, to prove this point.
