Movies should be made years later to tell generations that have forgotten or don't know of the struggle or sacrifice of that particular time.

9/11 has turned into the most effective public propaghanda for the government to exploit, reminding us of the fear to gain support in overly-aggressive decision making. The media obsession with the tragedy only gives the people a reminder of the pain, suffering, and indignation that should be reason enough to justify the aggressive stance the administration has taken. If the media keeps focusing on it, the pain still seems too real. Everything about that day had a surreal aspect to it for many, and constant immersion in the stories of 9/11 keep their subconscious recollection of it in a haze between concrete memories of the day and the surreal images of everything about it mixed all in one large jumble. If they haven't come out of the haze, if 9/11 still has that creepy, surreal schema, then the government can use it more easilly as a tool to motivate the people in their "crusade." It's time to stop trying to get more information about what happened, and start sorting through the memories until 9/11 becomes a tragedy that we have overcome, instead of a memory whose shadow still haunts our souls.

Yes, 9/11 was a tragedy, but it will make it into the history books for out children and their children. It is something that needs to be discussed, if for no other reason but to remind us that we are not invincible, like we like to con ourselves into believing. Titanic was a tragedy, but everyone stil wanted to see the movie. I agree that sometimes the media can overdramatize certain situations, but in this case, how do you overdramatize such a monumental traged such as 9/11??? As for move goers, people have been watching movies based on real life historical moments for as long as I can remember. No one thinks twice about watching a movie based on World War !!, or Vietnam. There is nothing wrong with making and watching movies based on 9/11. If you feel you can handle watching the movie, then watch it. If you can't, then don't. It simply boils down to that.

i don't think about it everyday, but i haven't forgotten it. It's one of those things that we will never really forget. Just like people remembering the day Kennedy got shot or having to wait in bread lines during the depression. These along with events like 9/11 are significant occurances that are embeded in our heads forever. I'm sure that one day my kids will ask me about it, and i know that i'll be able to tell them every detail like it just happened yesterday. Will i go see the movie? Maybe, but if too many people say that it brings back bad memories or that Hollywood didn't depict it correctly, then no.

I remember it a lot. The smallest things will trigger memories of that dreadful day. No, I will not go watch 9-11 or the other one about the airplane. i do not understand why they want to film these movies and why the families permitted it. We were devastated enough that day.I do not understand why someone wants to relive the horrible things that were seen that day both on television and in person

I still think about it. I feel a lot of anger when I think about it too much. I will watch the movie, but I'll wait until it comes out on video.
