How awful! I'm sorry you had such a rotten flight.

Usually when I fly, I choose the airline that uses my home city as its hub. That means the airline has priority in landing & takeoff, all other things being equal.

I use the Atlanta Hartsfield airport, and Atlanta is Delta's hub. I like Delta a lot, because the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food isn't too bad.

But, the best airline I've ever been on is JAL (Japan AirlInes). It's PERFECT...they even have little vases on the bulkheads (walls) that hold fresh cut flowers.

I hope your next flight is better!

Many airline employess are rude. No airline has the market cornered of that yet. Jet Blue is good for alot of people because of the TV's, but other then that there is nothing special about them. What bothers me about Jet Blue is that it is ussualy a very crowded and noisy flight. I have had good luck with continental. They seem like a very modern and successful airline. In todays world though, they all seem to stink.

Girl, they are all like that. If you want half decent flight attendants you're crap outta luck on domestic flights. NorthWorst was the worst of the bunch I've taken. UA wasnt too bad.

On international flights, I've had good luck with Cathay, Canadian, Japan Airlines (they have the worst recent accident history though).

I've had bad luck on Aeroflot, KLM, and countless others. But international flights tend to be a little better than domestic. On domestic flights, the attendants just don't care. They are too jaded by horrible passengers. I'm not saying that justifies their behavior since I'm not mean or spiteful. But their job really requires patience.

Oh I totally understand your frustration with AA. Continental isn't so wonderful either. I'd say for the price and politeness of staff, etc, that Southwest is pretty awesome. They have $99/one way deals all the time and it really helps us out since we have family in several states. Also, they have first come first served seating (although I heard they're going to start assigning like everyone else) and that's kinda cool. Their planes are always clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

well, screw all the other carriers in the bottom. I strongly suggest Frontier Airlines because of DirecTV in every seat (for more information visit http://www.flyfrontier.com/frontier/flight-info/inflight-entertainment.do) and because they come by numerous times with free beverages ranging from soda to water to juices like crangrape. On all occasions i was given a free refill and on about 50% of my total flights with them i was able to get a full can of soda to refill at my own pace. On morning flights originating from some airports, they will even give you a free donut (which is delicious because i had one going out of lax at 6:45) they also give you a selection of chips to choose from which are free (more information is available on inflight snacks at http://www.flyfrontier.com/frontier/flight-info/inflight-catering.do)
Frontier airlines only flies out of some smaller airports and most larger ones and are codeshared with Great Lakes Airlines and Horizion Airlines. Most flights have only 1 layover at Denver International Airport and all layovers are 50 minutes in length, period!
