When you hear about a President having an certain percentage approval rating...who are they polling? I've never received a call to find out if I approve or not of certain dealings...

I don't trust polls. It all depends on who's asking the question. If Fox News is asking the questions will most likely be pro Bush. If CNN is asking it's most likely going to be anti Bush. The questions can be very slanted to support the asker

Personally I dont worry about those polls for that reason. Very often in those types of polls they do not always ask fair simple questions so they are usually tainted in some way anyway. But usually groups who are conducting polls just contact random people in certain areas of the country and create statistics and what not.

Depends on who is doing the polling. Most of the liberal media have 2:1 Democrats to Republicans but there are honest polls out there.

They use a cross section of society using a sample of two to three thousand people form across the country.

We get calls all the time for opinion polls done by political parties and candidates. I guess our phone number just gets randomly selected a lot.

its all made up they just need a figure to announce ...they never make poll figures available just quote a source ...
