It's the dang point system. Once you start accumulating points it's hard to quit. It's especially ironically since the points are useless.

Yes. My favorite hobby is chess. It's taxing and exhausting on the brain at great length. Yahoo! Answers is generally mindless fluff. Great for placing the brain in cruise control.
