I was not making any judgements by asking my question Screwed" I asked the same question of Liberals. I want to know where peoples' heads are at and am trying to understand why people think the way they do. Your response was not warranted.

Thanks for your very thoughtful response "Howtotellthetruth." I think other people should learn how to follow your example rather than try to hurl insults for no reason.

OK, I apologize, the word is "Neoconservative." But I do think there is a difference between a neoconservative and a conservative. We did not refer to conservatives back in Barry Goldwater's day as neoconservatives so something has changed. so now my question becomes are you proud to call yourself a Neoconservative and why?

for those of you who asked what a neocon or neoconservative is, here is part of a definition I found in Wikipedia which makes sense to me: "Neoconservatism is a political current and ideology, mainly in the United States, which emerged in the 1960s, coalesced in the 1970s, and has had a significant presence in the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. It is today most closely identified with a set of foreign policy positions and goals: a hawkish stance during the Cold War and, more recently, in various conflicts in the Middle East. At times there have been distinct neoconservative positions in domestic policies; in particular, the first generation of neoconservatives were generally less opposed to "big government" and to social spending than other U.S. conservatives of the time, though they also called for significant restructuring of the goals and methods of many social programs.
