Military service?
She will probably not recognize you, even if pictures are being shown. The big "fear of strangers" age is closer to 12 months, so you may escape that. If you are around all the time from now on, and don't force things, you will fit back in and she will not remember the gap at all.
Just go as fast as she can to get back into her life. If she pulls back, wait a bit and try again later.

Memory may be instant, yet she may not know why she remembers you and could at that age be a little afraid. If you always wore a certain cologn, wear it. If you alway splayed certain music, play it. Those are easy memory triggers.
Just be a friend at first. Go slow. She will learn to love you again if she doesn't automatically recall you.
I wish you the best of luck

You need to not be over bearing with her. I know it's hard not to want to hold her, love on her, etc. But children can be scared very easily, let her come to you when you go see her. Just talk to her, make good solid eye contact with her when you talk to her. It's going to take time.

It wont take her long, as long as you are always with her to reinforce that you are her mother.
