Try Dennis Kirk or J&P Cycles for aftermarket parts for your 650 Savage (Links below)
As far as engine swaps... It would be cheaper to trade the whole motorcycle for a bigger one than to try to work out an engine swap.

There are several after market shops that specialize in the Japanese cruisers. However, I have noticed that they don't seem to stay in business very long. Try JC Whitney and JP Cycles. They can get parts. As for upgrading the motors, that is really a waste of time, money, and appreciation from others in the motorcycle community. Harley riders on the whole will tell you that it's not a Harley and Suzuki riders are going to tell you that you ruined the bike. Save your money and buy a used Sportster. So many people buy the new Sporties for their wives and sell them within a year at a substantial discount.

My first bike was a Savage 650 - good times, but I've moved up now. I found it difficult to get parts, since it wasn't super-popular. The Suzuki Boulevard 40 is pretty close I think... most parts should retrofit the Savage. Try the links previously mentioned, try Ebay, try a local dealer. Dealers may have to order parts for you, but at least they'll be able to get them.
I never upgraded the engine itself - I just got a bigger bike. I think lots of folks use this as a starter bike instead of one they like to customize... it's a cheaper model, so your upgrades often aren't worth the trouble.

Savage forum.... www.suzukisavage.com .... and why bother fooling around with any kind of engine swap at all? If you wanted a HD then just go buy one. First of all the frame isn't big enough for the HD motor, belt drives, and the transmission to begin with. Second , if you did manage to get all the pieces in the small frame (which you won't) then you've managed to upset the balance of an already pretty damn good little bike.

No idea what a Suzuki Savage is.
1. No
2. Don't bother. Go buy a Harley.
3. Peal emblums off your tank and side covers and stick Harley emblums on instead. 90% of the people on the planet, bikers, will never know the difference.

Your question scares me. Go ahead and be the first to "build" a custom chopper from a Savage frame. Savage is a single cylinder machine with a light backbone frame.
