I think that everyone uses masks a little bit. Not that people aren't honest or sincere, but people usually keep a little bit of themselves in reserve, feeling vulnerable. Ultimately, in relationships we all have to make ourselves vulnerable and sometimes we find out a person was not honest in his/her intentions. Experience, intuition, logic, should all guide you in your evaluation of another's trustworthiness.

When someone is real and true and sincere...you feel it...you know it. If someone touches your heart or your soul...you feel it. We all have the capacity to feel Love. If it speaks a truth to you...you know it. This you can trust.

give them a relatively small, but important, task to do. something that you truly value and need to be done and can trust no one else to do except them. if they succeed then they are almost worthy of your trust
