Sometimes when I search something and I click on a link that is there, it takes me to some different site. Could I have spyware?

Also, I've been getting these popups lately on Yahoo which is really unlikely. The popups say stuff like "online casino" or "spyware removal wizard" or something of that sort.

What you are noticing is the effect of adware; actually, "spyware" is a more appropriate term. You will need a dedicated adware elimination software to get back control of your computer.
Typically spyware or adware gets installed without your knowledge when you visit some unsavory sites, or download and install software that you think does something else (in that case it is called a "trojan").
The solution: download an anti-adware product, run it, and have it clean everything it finds. I am attaching the links to three good such products. I use all of them on a regular basis. Above all: they are free.
I recommend to start with the online Webroot scan given in the first of my links. You do not need to install any software for that. Quick, easy, good and free. Then download and install either the Microsoft, or the Lavasoft product, or even both of them. And run these on a regular basis.

It sounds like you do have spyware. Run Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware, Windows Defender, and HiJack-This (for hijack this save the log and show it to an IT professional or at a tech forum
Also check to see what programs are running, to do this, install Windows defender, go to Start

Your computer is badly infected. Perhaps it is spyware. Or it could be virus, trojans, adware or worms. The procedure below should give your computer a pretty complete dis-infection. Do all of 'em.
1. Scan for virus and remove (free online scan) with BitDefender

2. Scan for trojans and remove (free online scan) with Ewido

http://www.ewido.net/en/

3. Scan for ad/spyware and remove (free download) with Spybot Search & Destroy

Good luck!

Use your pop up blocker, that works. No its not spy ware its from the Microsoft upgrades. They do that. and nothing you can do about it. I just got an email from them, If your Windows ID has an OEM in the serial number then it has been modified by the people that made your computer. there is a site that you can go to. didn't do me much good but maybe will help you. Microsoft told me to get hold of the people that made my computer. They told me to get hold of Microsoft. ??????????????? "Do make you wonder???????"

You have spyware, my friend. Go to housecall.trendmicro.com which will scan your computer while you're online. You can also download adaware from lavasoft.com.
