While I don't think everything Bush does is wrong, here is an answer to your question:

1. Find and Kill Osama.
2. Track terrorists WITHIN the law.
3. Have a definite plan of action. If that doesn't work, change your plan to something that does.
4. Gain the support of foreign countries in tracking and eliminating terrorists.

First and foremost let's set one point straight, we will never 'defeat' terrorism. There will always be extremists willing to resort to terror to further their agenda, there always have been there always will be. Having said that let's consider 'fighting' terrorism, or rather the terrorism I believe you ask about aka the modern Islamic Jihad (or 'Holy War') movement aimed at Israel and the gentile nations. There is only one thing Muslims hate more than a rival Muslim faction, the United States! This goes back to a promise made in 1947 that the US would vote against Israel being given nation status... we renigged and they have never forgiven us. In the Muslim mindset if you are not engaged in commerce with a nation you might as well be at war with them, hence economic sanctions do not work. For the most part (and yes there are exceptions) Muslims could give a rats petunia about Democracy, it is not 'spreading throughout the Mid-East' nor will it, they just don't care they are happy with a tribal based (cleric lead) judicial/ legislative system. So, we either do business with them or we engage them in battle, but it is like fighting shadows. Gen. Pershing had an idea that was effective, kill a few of them with bullets dipped in pig blood and then bury them with the dead pig. I know it sounds terrible but it is something those 'stone-age, bassackward nitwits' understand (brute force and the fear of pissing off 'Allah', no 100 virgins for the boy killed and buried with the pigs). Personally I believe we should have bombed all the mosques killed all the clerics and let the military go free, we may have been in a better situation in Iraq if we had. One thing is certain, we either do business with them (sound familiar?) or we battle them, actually we 'Old Testament style' beat them down and make sure they stay there. The truth is the American public could not stomach what it would take to defeat the 'terrorist'. So just sit back and watch a long and bloody ordeal unfold.

Well im no expert but i have to say i dont think they gave much of a strategy. I have never heard any prominent liberal say anything about a strategy for fighting terrorism. All they talk about is an exit strategy and running away and backing into a corner is not going to keep America safer. By the way i am not liberal.

I think getting out of the country is one of the biggest solutions. The longer we stay the more they hate us. We relinquished power to the people, now its just a game of big buinsess and oil. We didnt invade the African Country who caused the events of black hawk down. Why you might as yourself? because there was nothing to be gainned from a poor african country that tortured our american soilders. In the middle eat we gain oil.We need to focus on domestic problems, and secure our borders more. Bush is trying very hard and i applaud him for that. Keeping strong bonds with countries around the world and just sitting in the passanger seat for once and keeping high security throughout the US would benifit more in the end. Keeping an open mind to new solutions. It's not about political parties its about endning the war and bringing our soilders back home which I know both parties want. Just stay open minded to other people's ideas. we can accomplish so much mroe that way. through exchanging ideas.

The same thing that famous liberal, President John Kennedy did when confronted with terrorism within the black community. Confront it. Challenge it and persevere. At every level.--- militarily, economically, socially, etc.

Unlike President Eisenhower who was a great President who never did anything.

Very bloody easy! Force Israel to seek 'acceptance' in the Middle East. If that means they must go on their damn knees in the UN and ask forgiveness of the world for all the sh*t they have caused, so be it! They behaviour of Israel has been the cause of most of the 'terrorism' in the world. While Israel, with the stupid backing of the US, continues its 'genocide' regarding its neighbours, things are going to get worse, not better.

Get Bush/Chaney out of office as they are the biggest recruiting tool for terrorism.

Just like on O'Reilly, libs can't answer simple questions without making a left turn and talk about everything else but what the question was about. Funny

Not a lib... but I must say that all seem to embrace CEASE-FIRE. This is a monumental mistake and a moral collapse on all ends of the political spectrum.

Israel should expect the US to stand shoulder to shoulder with her, destroying these bastards. Instead, we offer milk-toast to calm the little boys down.
