It is said that everyone leaves someone off their list. So if you say 4 guys, it actually 5 or 6.
Do you think your significant other needs to know the exact number?

The past is in the past so leave it there.

As a matter of delicacy and tact, I wouldn't ask, and he certainly hasn't asked me. I don't want to know about his past; it's enough for me to know, that he's a great lover and now he wants me exclusively. That is all I need to know, and I'm sure he doesn't want to know how many men I've been with. It's a yuk thought once you've met the person you intend to spend the rest of your life with, and it just doesn't matter as long as you've both had a sexual health check.

You do not need to tell him, nor do you need to ask him. The past is the past and bringing up something like a number will cause problems. All you need to know is if he is free from disease.

Give the exact number. Because if you're asked again you might tell he/she a different number...

No. It's history and no one else needs to know. It's no longer honesty by telling them, it's downright stupidity. If everything is OK in the relationship, leave it be.

Why? So they can throw it up when they're mad? Or be jealous all the time? No. I don't think you should be completely honest unless your number is VERY low!

I would be if he wanted to know. But as pf yet (four years of marriage) he has never asked that question.
