a mini refrigerator, an iron, a small microwave, an mini ironing board, a small bulletin board, to post notes and reminders, hopefully your folks will spring and get you a laptop! Also, purchase a cute bedspread and go to Linens and Things or Bed Bath and Beyond and get a good qualityone that will last! I would consider purchasing on that would mix well with white sheets. You need to have white sheets, because that way you can bleach them okay? And new pillows!!!! Do not use the college's pillows, they are old and covered with dust mites and other creepy stuff!!! Also, purchase a small rug, just to give the room some texture. You could also purchase a small plant (the money plant is good for guys, it cant die, when you all forget to water it for weeks!), or maybe a cute small silk plant. You could also purchase a few nice posters of topics and/or people that interest you. Make sure you purchase a big can of Lysol!!!! Spray and Lysol disinfecting wipes. Spray and wipe everything down before you put your stuff away! You will need to also purchase a small waste basket, a laundry basket, a sturdy one with handles, laundry soap, bleach, dryer sheets. Also, have your Mom go to the grocery store and purchase some snacks for you to have in your room, and bottled water. Purchase about 6-7 white towels, hand towels, and wash cloths. If your dorm has "communit showers," make sure you purchase some shower shoes, and a caddy to carry all of your toiletries. Good luck with your academic career!

Have honestly one of your mothers and fathers call and clarify that it truly is a intense situation for you. Adults many times have a tendency to take different adults more effective heavily than us besides. and do not sense like you're being bratty!! If that's something intense to you, do not provide up! lead them to recognize that that's not merely you attempting to be snobby and get your man or woman room. in case you could get a medical doctors word confirming that you're clinically determined with Xenophobia, that could help too! many times the housing all and distinctive seems nice about stuff. I had a dorm situation too, and my roommates mom said as and talked to them and the subsequent day it replaced into fixed. keep attempting till they get it! reliable success!!

Mini-fridge, desk lamp, small rug (in case the floor is wood or tiled), Dustbuster (very useful!), paper/plastic dishes, garbage can, coat hangers, clear plastic storage bins and a drying rack for clothes. Obviously the basics like towels, bedding and a mattress pad. Other stuff you can pick up after you've moved in and seen how much space you'll have.
