Did you know that in sociaties and cultures throughout history, loving or marrying someone of the same sex was not considered odd. I have studied history and cultures all my life. It is mostly in Judeo,Christan,Muslam culture where they say it's wrong.

Yes, that is true. There are lots of archeological and anthropological evidence that support same sex relationships in various cultures. Mostly, these relationships are applied during lean times and for the shamans or priests of the tribe.

I read a story once about a drag queen in Arizona. He was Native American, and in his family's religion, being gay was praised. A gay man was thought to have two souls, one of a man and one of a woman, which meant that he was going to heaven no matter what. He was murdered during a party I think almost ten years ago by some "gangstas" that had harassed him before. It's very sad. I just thought of that story when reading this question.

Wow there are people who believe me when I tell them the same thing. :-) I think with the three religions you mention, becuase they are newer and are probably more related than people think, they take on the same "laws". As far as I kno, my own religion, dating back 20,000 years or more also allowed people to marry whomever they loved. Love is love and with the power of religions saying its wrong and immoral, more and more people believe it and basically creating hate. The more people hate, the more the world dies. The Earth's children bicker back and forth and murder each other while at the same time, murder Mother Earth more and more.

Blessed Be

Yup, I knew that. I like some science fiction for the very reason that some authors treat love that way. Doesn't matter the sex of the people.

Yes, I have heard that before. There have been straight, bisexual, lesbian, and gay people throughout history. They just didn't have the labels we use today. Love is love.

Until the 13th century, homosexual relationships were regarded very highly and as special by the Catholic Church. Special marriage ceremonies were conducted for these unions. But in reality, who cares who says what..it is our lives, not theirs, and actually, "they" are really not welcome to enter that part of our life. Good luck
