My firstborn baby was very sickly as an infant and I spent alot of time in hospitals with her. I said that if I could ever be a nurse, then I could do for others what they did for my baby. So here I am graduating in Dec to be a nurse, it feels great. I know it's what God made me to do.

I always wanted to be a mother when I was small, then later I wanted to work with children and I loved to play the piano, I did what I set out to do because I wanted to have work that made me happy. It was pretty much the same when I met my husband, I wanted him more than I ever wanted anything else in my life. Lucky for me that once he got used to the idea, he felt that way, too. we decided from day one that we would alwayscome first with one another and God help the first one of us who thought otherwise. lol
We've got 2 good sons, and have had our ups and downs. I can't remember a time in my life that I would have 'just gotten by' with what was important to me.

I graduated from high school early, instead of jumping on the college bandwagon, I went straight to work in all kinds of different environments & job types until I found a field worth investing in to grow.
Now I know what I love happens to be Project Management. I'm gaining skills in it, and now (finally) going to school and getting certifications with that path in mind, and loving every step of the way.
It took me about five years to "figure it out" but at least I was making money and gaining a variety of skills along the way which are still helping me now.
There's other ways to do it - but that particular option worked for me.

I decided to do what I love. I'm going through school to be a graphic designer, I love art and computers. I knew I had to do something, I didn't want to be become a statistical young welfare mom. So I might as well do something I like, and do something that will benefit my son and me as well in the long run.

I made a conscious decision that when I had to make an important decision (career, men, finances) I would weigh the pros and cons. Then I would try to think about the outcome of my decision might be. You can only go so far with this and then you have to trust your instincts.
I've been very lucky...the few mistakes I've made ended up taking me to a better place.

If you mean as an occupation, then I can say I did alot of different things until I knew they were not what I wanted to do and eventually found something I liked well enough to pursue it. It took a long time.
If you did not mean an occupation, never mind.

i did what i had to do to get through life so far. it wasn't easy nor fun and i didn't want to do it but i had to, that's all there is to it. sometimes there's no deciding about it, just happens that way.

I got burned out on recycling the same old junk over and over again.
It was time to raise my level of awareness so I can move forward.

Prayed long and hard about it, sought wise godly counsel and tried to be attentive and listen. When you follow (God's) plan for your life, you find true joy and contentment.
