I live in a small GA town. I have GOOD studio skills, writing, and speaking.

Well, it depends. If you want to know what you can apply for (and probably get fast employment) right after graduation, go into art education. But, if you want a more esoteric degree in which you can do a number of things (but may take a while to find the right job), go for graphic design.

Art education will pay off the best in the long run. You can also then work on a Masters in Fine Arts and who knows where in the world that can land you!!

Teaching would be a great fall back.

There are probably more graphic design jobs, and a lot of districts cut their art programs. However, you could also work in art education at a museum or other nonprofit.

graphic speaking, there is going to be a greater demand for that vs art education

graphic design... more job prospect when you get out... Believe me, there's not much you can do with art education.

bypass back to school! heavily, hit upon a liberal arts college in you section and have a examine out their pictures layout software. Ask the instructors what you should do and what suggestion they could provide you in this new (to you) container. per chance they could help get you an apprenticeship someplace. :)
