I totally agree, but this isn't really a question...

I just want to say all the dumba** chicks who are saying that a raped woman should still have her baby all need to be raped and get pregnant and see how they feel about carrying a reminder of the worst experience of their lives around inside them for 9 months, and then have to live with the fear that if they have a boy that he will grow up and rape another woman and repeat the horrible cycle all over again.
No, abortion should not be outlawed! There is a rape every 2 minutes in the U.S. How many babies do you think come out of that??? TOO MANY.
And more than half of rapes go unreported!!!
What if you were a victim of incest? Do you know your child would have a 1 in 7 chance of having a serious birth defect? Would that really be worth carrying around a fetus of not only the worst experience of your life, but also have to raise a disfunctional child? Would that be a life worth living for either of you?
What if you were told either you or the baby (or BOTH) was going to die unless the pregnancy was terminated? What would be the point of bringing a baby into the world if you are going to leave it motherless? And why die if your baby is going to anyhow?
There are too many considerations to just outlaw abortion and look at it from such a small-minded point of view.
And, yes you can argue that there are horrible women who use it as birth control, but if they are sick enough to do that, isn't it better that they don't bring a child into this world who they won't take care of? There are plenty of unadopted babies already here in the world, why don't we wait until they are all adopted and we've run out (which will NEVER happen) and then start talking about it.

I have 4 kids and I am 22. Abortion never crossed my mind because I just consider it a legal form of murder. I wish it was outlawed as well. I know partial birth abortion is, but all of it needs to be. Everyone that is considering an abortion should take a look at some pictures of what the aborted baby looks like and then tell me they would do it all over again. I never even looked at a picture until recently and that just reassures me that I would never have one. Thank you for saying what so many people feel everyday.

I am not for abortion and I do personally believe that it is wrong, but to say that anyone who gets an abortion is a "sick person" is not exactly a fair thing to say. I would say that these people are scared and desperate. They need love, not hate... Understanding, not accusations. Many a woman lives with the regret and guilt that comes from such desperate attempts to erase a "mistake" by terminating a pregnancy. Adoption is definitely a better option, but many women wish to hide the fact that they were ever pregnant. Babies are precious miracles that should not be tossed to the wayside...... I just ask you to please approach the subject with more love, because by being judgmental many people turn their backs to the pro-life angle.
I also realize that many people argue that there are already so many unwanted and unloved children in the world, why bring more unwanted lives into the world? Doesn't everyone deserve a chance? A child does not ask to be conceived nor does it deserve to be discarded. As "adults" we are responsible for the decisions we make. If we decide to do things that may result in a child, we should be willing to consider what we would do if a child was born of that union.
Abortion for rape and medical reasons are harder to disqualify, and even I could not predict my own actions in such circumstances. I would like to think that I would leave the outcome to God, but being human I could not answer without uncertainty.

How many children are born everyday that are not loved? Are abused? Are exploited? Are unwanted? Are left in a dumpster to die? Isn't it better to have no life than to have horrible life? What about abortion in the case of rape? Incest? Health reasons both for the mother and the fetus? I was raised to believe in choice and it scares me to death that one day my daughters may not have that choice. And lets be realistic here, even if the government makes it illegal, do you really think that will stop it? All that will accomplish is a lot of back ally abortions, deaths of both the mother and the fetus and botched abortions endangering the lives and reproductive systems of thousands of women. While I hope with all my heart that neither of them have to go through an abortion I hope even more that they never have to experience and endure an unwanted pregnancy, die or get sick from a lack of choice in a dirty warehouse somewhere. And before you comment that "there are hundreds and hundreds of couples that can't have children" think about the fact that there are thousands and thousands of unwanted children in the foster care system that want parents as much these couples want kids. WHY are they still in foster care? It infuriates me that the "pro-life" movement spouts all this crap yet nothing is done to help and love the children and babies that are already alive. Why do people think that bringing even more children into the world is the "right" thing to do? I just don't understand and my heart breaks everytime I see a news story about another child that was left to die or was killed rather than aborted before it became an actually living being.

Learn some history. When abortion was illegal women still had them... and a lot of them died in the process. There were also people who would abort a pregnancy at any point, even if the child could have just been born through a c-section.
Imagine being a 14 year old girl in 1950 who got pregnant because her boyfriend told her that she wouldn't get pregnant if they did it standing up. He lied.
She got pregnant and if her family found out they would have tossed her out. So she goes to an illegal clinic, has someone give her an abortion with a wire coat hanger - her and the baby die on a bloody table.
Stop ranting and come up with a REAL solution to the problem. Give women a real choice that removes the issue and doesn't make them into unwilling baby factories. Give them a way to keep from having massive bleeding because of complications that still cause over a thousand women a year to die trying to give birth to children when they shouldn't have.
Abortion is a horrible choice, but making it illegal is more horrible.

Most of you people are absolutely nuts.... An fetus at the point in which abortion is legal (13 weeks 6 days in Tennessee) is a PARASITE. It is unable to live on its own. It solely depends on the mother (host) to live. It is not medically a "baby" until birth. I have a feeling that the majority of the people that have posted here are teenagers (based on spelling, internet lingo, and puncutation) and if that is the case then you really need to go to school and get your education before you try to bring a baby into this world. If they are not teenagers then there is something to be said about your intelligence and your urge to breed. I am just sick and tired of all these people having children and going on state help for ever and my taxes paying for all these children. I am a responsible adult, and I am sick and tired of irresponsible teenagers and adults alike, causing me to pay for their mistakes....

Actually in some states it is against the law. My aunt lives in north dakota or South Dakota, stupid me keeps getting them mixed up but anyways it is against the law to have an abortion thier in less it is risking the mothers life.
I do not agree with abortion and have a right to say the are wrong because unlike some out thier I have been raped and I was like 14 or 15 at the time and I kept my baby but sadly misscarried but I did get pregnant again at 16 and had that baby and now he is two.

I believe abortion is murder, but to comment on what you're saying. You're trying to reach out to the people who would have an abortion if they got pregnant and these people often feel like they can't face their family with their pregnancy, or that they won't be a good parent. And to be quite honest...the reason why alot of people who don't want a baby have an abortion instead of just delivering and then giving the baby up for adoption is because being pregnant takes up NINE MONTHS of your life. That's almost a whole year. And if they don't want the baby...then they probably feel like they're just wasting their time.

Your rantings are those of a sick person. God invented abortion in the form of miscarriage and he does not murder babies. If you had the IQ to understand you would know that sometimes it is better for a baby to be aborted (that is what God does) than it is to suffer in life. I guess you think it is better to be burnt in an oven that to be aborted, or better to die in childbirth, or be condemmed to live as a vegetable. You are very sick in the mind. As are most pro life nuts. I hope that you will repent of your sins and learn to follow in God's footsteps.

I don't like abortion either, but think about this....
If you were raped or were chronically ill, you might want that service availible.
Also, if abortion was outlawed, people would still find ways to get them, and end up not only having an abortion that is done in a back alley somewhere, but they could get disfigured, get sick from unserlized surgery items. They could wind up dead too.
I know where you're coming from, but I think it should be legal. There just needs be limitations on who can have them.
