He's the best home run hitter today and he's on one of my favorite teams. He's a great player worthy of the AL MVP because he has such a great bat. Who cares if he doesn't field? MVP stands for Most Valuable Player and hitting 41 homers and 110 RBIs or whatever he has sounds like MVP numbers to me.

Well, I am not a Red Sox fan, but I would love to have Ortiz on my White Sox.
He is a great hitter, I mean literally great. He hits with power and in the clutch.
He also seems like a big happy nice guy. And I hear that is true.

I can't say that i'm a fan, considering i don't like the red sox. But i can say that Ortiz is probably the best hitter in baseball right now, especially in the clutch
