If you are on a new medicine and getting welts, STOP taking the medicine. Allergic reactions can be very serious. If you get more welts and/or shortness of breath or any swelling, you should get to an ER immediately. If the welts are all you got, do not take anymore of the drug until you consult your doctor.

it does NOT sound like roseola! (in response to the post about roseola) sorry, my son had roseola, which is a flushed like tiny soptty rash all over the face torso and sometimes arms and legs. I would take your son to a different doctor and get a second opinion. Most rashes in young children are nothing, but you want to make sure. Maybe it could be an allergy of some kind?

Welts on your back could be anything. You'd need to post a picture at least. Do they hurt? Itch? See a doctor.

have you started a new drug in the last 2 weeks or eat something you never ate before? stop taking the drug if thats the case cause you have a bad allergic reaction to it call your dr on monday to discuss this with them if you cant wait that long and your having trouble breathing and the rash gets worse dont hesitate to go to the emergency room

It could be shingles. If you have ever had chicken pox it could be shingles. Or it could be poison ivy or oak.

it could be an allergy in which case benadryl will help
