It's a good question, but think about the perspective. You mention innocents being sacrificed. I'd agree, but that not the view from Hezbollah. Those people we call sacrificed innocents they call martyrs. It's a completely different thought process.
That's why Iran with a nuclear weapon is so scary. The US and Russia built their stockpiles to ensure mutual destruction should one side use those weapons. Neither side wanted to die or destroy their countries. That's not the thought in Iran. They would more than gladly die or kill to bring about the return on their hidden Imam. Remember they want an Islamic world, not just an Islamic state. They believe it is their responsability to bring that about.

They have been fighting like this for 1000's of years. It has already been said here that Hezbollah considers the innocent Martyrs, and that they don't care if they die, because they get 70 Virgins in Paradise. Unfortunately, there will always be idiots of all religions (not just Muslim) causing trouble in the world. Especially in the mid-east, where so many religions began. Because of that, the innocent will always pay the price. Not fair? I agree, but this world is jacked up.

JB has it right. They want one world rule. That is the Islamic rule. Hope they don't get what they want. They are sure working hard at it and the world is dragging their feet. They are martyred. They could care less about the women or the children which is an awful shame.

Finally a sane person with a sane question. The only problem is that their regards for human life in that region of the world is nill. So they believe that when they die they go to heaven and get to eat chocolate cake and have sex with virgins. It is the utmost of ignorance.

Radical Islamic terrorists have one objective - at ANY COST - a one world Islamic controlled government with NO infidels. (Note: Do you really think Arafat got as far as the forth grade?)
