funny i had to encounter this question now after reading Paulo Coelho's the Alchemist.

life is interesting isn't it? just when you think you've understood it, it presents something different.

i asked a somewhat similar question before, you might want to check it out.

you know what i learned from the book? "when you want something badly or when you chase your dream, the universe conspires with you." it's called beginners luck. life throws you positive signs so that you continue chasing your dream. but the road isn't always easy. that's when your determination and commitment will be tested.

i ask you, which road does your heart (theoretically mind) want you to take? follow it. yes, people will always tell you that you should take the practical road. be realistic. blah blah... we get burned lots of times along the way. life is a test. we should learn from it. but in the process, do not let it disillusion you. learn from it, be stronger, and move on.

look at the success stories of people who have been there. read how they got there. they didn't take the well trodden and easy road. it usually goes nowhere but the mainstream. they took what the one which they were passionate about.

ask old people if they are satisfied with the choices they make. it's amazing the amount of knowledge you can gain from them. if you are worried about the risk, both roads are risky. but you have to choose.

in the end, i think it all boils down to being successful (in your eyes), being happy and being loved. take the path which leads you to that road.

it's your life. it's your story to make.

my 2 cents. take and God bless!

Your post makes me think of one of my favorite poems. It is by Robert Frost (1874–1963).

The Road Not Taken

"TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. "

I hope that helps! At the very least, it should be an inspiration for you. Something to think about.
Good luck!

look, in case you've faith in a God, and that i'm no longer saying you should, then it would not count number which course you're taking as he/she/it is going to likely be with you. besides the undeniable fact that, in case you favor to boost as someone, and fill your self with the richness of reviews both functional and detrimental, then you definately are open to attempting new issues and gaining knowledge of from ability blunders. leave God out of it. something else is as a lot as you. And with the help of ways, this isn't an deadlock on the fork, that's only a call element. An deadlock could advise you won't be able to get previous it in any respect.

Not knowing where each road will take you is the fun of life, else life will be predictable, and boring... We cant control it nor plan it for life another robert poem (not robert frost but robert burns)
But Mousie, thou are no thy-lane,
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best laid schemes o' Mice an' Men,
Gang aft agley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promis'd joy!

Meaning The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry... simply, even if you knew where it would take you you cant do anything planning and make it be perfect...
no matter which road you take, you will live on, you will become you, for every step you take you grow for every choice you mature... it doesnt matter where it will take you, it is the journey on the path, and the decision of the path to go, that is what creates you, that is what makes life, life.
