At one time I wanted to be an L&D nurse, but I ended up becoming a paramedic, a career choice I couldn't be happier with (it was a career change, after I got a B.A. in political science). While I was in paramedic school and doing in-hospital clinical rotations in L&D, i saw a number of deliveries and was glad I wasn't doing that full-time (even though I was honored to attend each one of those births). It's just that after a while, it's almost "Seen one, seen 'em all"....and it's a little messy and gross, too...lol

Yes, actually I did want to be one. But because of somethings, I can't at this time. Maybe someday. Oh, I'd love to be Labour and Delivery nurse if I ever do become a nurse!

Nursing is a nobel profrssion, but no matter how much money was involved, I couldn't do it simply because I can't stand the sight of blood.
