If that's what the seller wants then yes, you can contact him/her to see if they would accept a money order, not sure if many take checks due to the time they take to clear.
Not sure if your on Ebay if that also means you have a Paypal account or not you could just try logging onto Paypal with the same email as your Ebay since they are part of the same company.
If you haven't used Paypal before it IS like using your debit card, you "connect" your Paypal account to your Bank Account so then you can transfer funds from your bank to your PayPal or buy something and it will take the funds directly from your Bank Account.
If your new to Paypal be VERY careful tho when you receive emails as alot target Paypal asking for people to enter their bank info, credit card info into fake websites that look just like Paypal... If you start using it pay close attention to the URL in your internet window or just go directly through Paypal only by typing it in yourself and go there.

Paypal is basically a big online bank. When you create an account with them, they ask for your checking/savings account number from a "real" bank. When you sell something and the buyer uses paypal to pay for it, the funds get added to your online paypal account. When you pay for something you buy using paypal, if there is anything in your account, it will draw from that first, then withdraw the balance from your "real" checking/savings account. If you have the free version of paypal, I think they let you make one withdrawl per month from your paypal account to your "real" bank account. Paypal was bought by ebay about a year or so ago, and now ebay is set up to conveniently pay for your auction items using paypal. You don't have to use paypal, but many sellers on ebay prefer or even insist you pay with paypal because it's a safe annonymous transaction, and because it's so convenient. Hope that helps!

everyone so far is right, however I believe you can still pay through paypal (with your debit card) even if you don't have an account. That was an option i saw about 15 minutes ago when i was paying for a purchase.
but still a paypal account is very easy to set up and you can set it up with a debit card.

If the seller only accepts paypal (which a lot do) then that's all you can use. Some will allow payment by other means, but debit card isn't one of them.

If it says Paypal only, that is the only way to pay. You can try contacting the seller to make other arrangements if possible. You can also get someone with a Paypal account to buy it or open your own.

It is up to the seller. Some sellers will take checks or money orders. You can have a paypal account that is not linked to a credit card. you have to link it to your bank account, and they will take the money out of it, similar to a debit card. If the seller says "paypal only" you can still email them through "ask seller a question" and ask if a money order is ok.

Paypal is free so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. Just setup an account, should take less than 5-minutes.
If the seller accepts it, you can also pay by:
-Personal Check
-Money Order
-Western Union
BUt I suggest making a Paypal account, it's the cheapest, safest, fastest, and easiest out of the four.

Depends on what the seller says. Most will either require or prefer paypal, others will allow check or other means of payment. Just look for users who do not require paypal.
