I'm 59 and I still feel young

Very young! I thought I knew it all at 12 and looking back I really didn't have a CLUE!! But then, I guess we think that at every age, then we get older and know more...but 12 is definitely not mature enough to make certain decisions. Personally I don't even think that 18 is old enough, but it's better than 12.

By standards of nature, no; since humans hits puberty around 12-13 years of age. It is the social standards that are imposed by humans that defines the 12 year olds as young perhaps because they have not completed school and is not able to support themselves. Even by today standards, children are growing up and maturing faster and faster. With Internet and other technologies, children today know much more things and are less naive than children their age 10 years ago. Hence, what really is our definition of young?

That depends on if you are talking about a kid or a car..
Of course you are....
Stay out of trouble, and hold onto your innocents. Let your folks worry about the big stuff, you stay in school, work for your career, stay away from sex and all that, you have plenty of time for this when you are grown up,get married, don't just "live" together, it's no good.. over 21, and know where you are going....
You young kids, 12 to, 20 think you know it all, trust me, you don't....

Yes. 12 is very very VERY young. Ah to be 12 again and have no worries other than how to get my next GI Joe.

Well lets see, if you live to be the average age in the US- 78- then you still have 66 years to go. So it think it's safe to say YES! You have a LOT of life ahead of you!

What for - you didn't say that. So it is difficult to answer you.
For going to school? You are old enough.
To go out with friends and play? You are old enough.
But for many others things you young still.

physically and legally yes....
But the events in a childs life can alter them mentally and cause
then to think older than most adults, but the sad part is they miss there childhood 8;(
