my brother so hypocritical and always trying to get me into trouble
1.)Ok he tellls me that all my music sux. but then he turns around and listens to the bands and all the songs i listen to.He told me that the red jumpsuit apparatus sux. but he is always listening to their song "Face down". and he likes my fav bands Good Charlotte Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the disco. Ok if the music i listen to sux then why is he always listening to it? how can i make him stop saying all the bands i listen to sux?
2.)He is always trying to make my parents think that the music i listen to is bad. like he tells them the songs are about killing people and blowing them selves up and he will tell my parents anything just to try and get me into trouble for listeing to "bad" music. Why does he try and get me into trouble for the music i listen to? how can i make him stop?

That is sooooo sooo annoying my brother does the exact same thing!I just ignore him because i know he likes the same music to.So fighting about it would get my parents involved.My brother only tells my parents that i listen to dumb songs about emo people who only think about killing themselves.And thats when i get super super mad! because that's not TRUE! He doesn't even listen to the lyrics to know what the song is really abt. My mom doesnt really care because she hates rap and likes that i listen to punk because it's better than rap always telling people abt drugs and worser things.So i mean if ur parents tell you the kind of music you listen to is bad.Start putting it in their face "what you want me to listen to rap with drugs,gangs,and hate".That always works for me. That's easy... He's trying to get a rise out of you or your parents or both. He's pushing buttons to see how far he can go to get you in trouble, or to anger your folks. If it were me, I'd have a sit down talk with him and your folks and explain everything. Listen to the music together once or twice to see if your folks have any objections. Print the lyrics of your favorite songs so you can understand what's being sung. I know Panic! has a line about "And yes, but what a shame, what a shame, the poor groom's bride is a whore." which your parents might not like too much, but don't let them hear it out of context because that creates the most misunderstanding...

Your brother seems to be a dumd ***. Don't listen to him. If you like the music you shouldn't care what he thinks. Also let your parents listen to the music and show them the lyrics, so they can see that it is good music.
