what does the writing on The One Ring mean? i kno that it's elvish, (or however u spell it) but i just need the english translation.

its actually in the text of mordor, which is based off elvish. it says "one ring to rule them all, one ring to find them. one ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them". its part of the larger poem:

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne,
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

It is written in the language of Mordor. I have read all three books, but I cannot remember what it says on the ring, unless it's that poem at the beginning of the book.
One ring to rule them all

One ring to [something something]
And in the darkness bind them.

Since that ring is the One ring that belongs to Sauron, I am 77 and a half percent sure that it what's on the ring...but I haven't reread the books in a while...
