It's not so much a matter of age as it is where you're going, who the date you're with is, and what you plan to do with your date. If you can convince your mom that all of those things are appropriate, she might let you.

no younger than 16 on single dates because you dont know what hide the sausage is, your too nieve and may fall for something your not ready for, atleast in a group your less likely to find yourself in a tricky situation, and any boy that is worth having is worth waiting for and will wait for your parents approval

My mom wouldn't let me date period at 13.
Try 15 or 16 based on maturity and success in school.
I know it seems like forever to wait...but aren't 13 year olds in middle school? Kinda too soon in my book.
