Any one of you here who got an idea of removing a magnetized decal that got stucked on my car? it has been there for a while and has actually faded. So now I want it off but it got stucked and I might ruin the car's paint if I forcefully take it off. Any advice?

blow drier to loosen, plastic spatula to scrape (dont scrape your paint) and then "goo gone" for anything left over.

First a question, is it really a magnet? There are NO magnets so powerful that I know of that could not be carefully peeled off. I do know of some sign makers who use large magnetic signs for car doors which actually have an adhesive in addition to the magnetic sheet the sign is made out of. Over time, the adhesive "cures" which locks it in place forever. There IS a way however, a product I used a while back called "Gum Off." It is a commercial adhesive solvent, mainly used for removing the gummy residue left over from removing stick-on labels some stores use. In this case. you will have to devise a way to keep the solvent in contact with the edges so the solvent can seep in. It will not penetrate the magnet, so the only way is through the exposed edges. I did this on a 8x10 inch magnet label my son put on the fridge. It took a few days until I was finally able to peel up enough of the top edge to get a good grip to start peeling it off. I had to continually apply the solvent onto the newly exposed area and the whole thing took me 3 days. At least Gum Off smells like oranges, so it wasn't exactly unpleasant like some other solvents I've used...

If it is that stuck, the damage is likely done to the paint. Call a body shop, but try hot water and see if you can get it to release a bit from that.

Next time, move the magnets at least once a week, and try to take them off when there is a rain storm.

Use a heat gun or a blow drier to warm the decal, that should help it release.

if you can get in under the edge of it it will release ,,you just have to be easy with it,,once you get it started it will come off,,its not glued ,,just stuck really well,,try setting it in the sun to help soften it,,and get in under the edge,,and simply pull it off,it shouldn't hurt the paint,,i hope this help,s.

Heat welded it on, I think only heat will get it off. Got a hair dryer?

I would try spraying it with W-D 40 lubricant and carefully peeling it away slowly and adding more spray.
