I've always wanted to but I don't live around cows and I really don't want to hurt them, so does it hurt them ?

Knocking a cow down doesn't hurt it anymore than someone knocking you down would. They can and do get back up. You may want to practice for this by having someone kick you in the face or the belly because cows WILL kick you if you're not careful around them. Having been raised around cows, I can tell you that it is hard to sneak up on a cow and when you do, you better be able to run fast. They are either going to run from you or run AT you. I'm sure cow tipping (for sport) has probably been done before, but it is more along the lines of snipe hunting. Everybody talks about it, but hardly anyone has ever done it. It's more of a joke than anything. If you decide to try it, be sure you have permission to be on the farmer/rancher's land or you'll be in trouble.

A friend of mine in college explained cow tipping to me. She swears it does not hurt them. But I always thought it was cruel. I wouldn't like it if I was asleep and somebody just came over and pushed me over. That is pretty rude. I'm sure they could get bruised.

Yes have been and it can hurt them. They could break and leg and they would shoot them.
My daddy's got cows and you can knock them over. cows also sit when a storm is coming. Tipping cows is real. lol

I've never been that drunk and/or could find cows to do that with. So I just push my friends over. It works just the same!

I don't go cow tipping, but I do house tipping, of course it only works if you have super strength.

i was born and raised in cattle country and one night we went to go do it, and nothing really happens. the cows were either awake or woke up before we got to them and would run off. Go snipe hunting instead...it's SUPER fun.

cow tipping doesn't exist... rural kids make fun of city kids with that all the time - COWS DON'T SLEEP STANDING UP!!!
