Absofreakinlutely! Statistics show most car and truck accidents are caused by the cars. I know someone who flipped over in a semi and barely got a scratch.

Your safety depends on two things and the vehicle is not one of them. You are your first defence against injury. Drive within your abilities and those of the vehicle. Don't drive tired. If you are feeling drowsy, stop at the next rest area or gas station and take a break. Get a drink. Don't drive more than 11 hours in a day even with breaks. And watch out for the other guy because s/he is tired, talking on the phone and doing a crossword while driving.

Do you have the choice of either vehicle? What I mean by that question is: Do you have access to an 18-wheeler AND a 260z?
The reason for the question is simple. If you do not posess both or either vehicle then your question is just useless supposition. If you do have access to drive either vehicle, park them beside each other. Look at them both and make the decision for yourself.
If you are still riding your bike to school, it is not important for you to worry about that question anyway.
